Growing up in Northern California, David learned to appreciate the wide range of terrain this beautiful state has to offer. From the high mountains of the Sierra Range and the rolling hills of the wine country, to the rugged coastline of Mendocino, David loves exploring them all. "I always try my best to experience everything this world has to offer. If I am by the water, I want to be on the water. If I am next to a mountain, I want to be on the mountain. I try to see things from every possible perspective, even from the air."
After high school, David pursued a career in aviation. "Flying gave me a perfect opportunity to be on the edge of the light. I loved seeing the warm brilliance of the sun as it rises up over the mountains, watching the light beams peeking through a rain shower of an oncoming storm, and the last seconds of the sun as it gives you one more wink of amazement before it disappears behind the Pacific."
"Being a photographer gives me the tools to tell my story. From the changing seasons of the Sierra Range, to the magical presence and culture of the Pacific. As a professional photographer and printer I've developed the skills that allow me to tell visual stories of the things I'm passionate about. I love being a part of it all."
